Listing Site Description
Tucked away amongst a forest of towering pines and surrounded by water on three sides, this home on the exclusive Beaver Dam will make you feel like you’ve found your own modern-day oasis. Enjoy views of Gore Creek, Vail’s only private pond and a quaint, babbling brook. Walls of windows throughout make you feel like you are in a luxurious treehouse.
Indoors and out, gorgeous views abound. Kick off your snow boots for a little après-ski, soak in the hot tub or enjoy your afternoon cuppa on the outdoor deck as you take in the scenery: sun filtering through the trees; fresh mountain air; water rushing over rocks…utter perfection.
Inside, sleek modern design and a palette of matte grays combines with ski-lounge-worthy furnishings to make a truly modern mountain retreat. Completely renovated in 2016, the house boasts four en-suite bedrooms, many with stunning forest views, plus a bunk room with full bath in the hallway. A cozy media room with huge flat-screen TV and mini bar beckons after a day of hitting the slopes, and the stunning kitchen with professional range, sunken sink and wine fridge is as functional as it is pretty.
Nestled in Beaver Dam in the heart of Vail – one of the most coveted locations in all of Colorado’s ski towns – the house is just a short walk from the slopes. You’re located just minutes from Vail Village and Lionshead Village, where you’ll find gourmet restaurants and top-notch shopping. Ski enthusiasts will love the world-class slopes and gorgeous views, but there’s something for all seasons: hiking, mountain biking, and fly fishing are perfect summer activities. Or visit during the holidays for a true White Christmas among the sparkling lights of Vail.Additional Information
Main Floor Living Spaces
An open layout makes the space perfect for families or groups of couples traveling together. The living room boasts vaulted ceilings, a gas fireplace and two couches that are as good for storytelling and game night as they are for cozying up to watch a movie on the flat-screen TV – and the sprawling forest views are always on full display.
Whip up brunch for everyone in the uber-modern kitchen, where an oversized island is the perfect place to grab breakfast or read the paper. The kitchen flows into the dining room, where forest views are on full display from the dining room table (seats eight).
Lower Media Room
Relaxation is officially required here. A day full of Colorado sunshine means you’ve earned a couple of hours cozying up on the giant bed-like couch. A big, flat-screen TV makes movie time a natural, but the space is perfect for game nights, too. A mini bar means that a bourbon tasting among friends is no longer the stuff of fantasy.
Upstairs Master Suite: You’ll never want to get out of the (king-sized) bed. The master bedroom is mountain luxury at its finest, with floor-to-ceiling picture windows to let in the forest views, a gas fireplace built into the wall, and a posh, sprawling en-suite bathroom flooded with light. Bathroom has a shower, freestanding tub, and floating vanity.
Upstairs Guest Suite: Queen-sized bed in a private, peaceful room with en-suite bathroom including a tub and shower.
Main Floor Guest Suite: Decorated in modern grays and blacks, with a queen-sized bed with en-suite bathroom. This suite offers access to the outdoor patio – which means the forest (and hot tub!) are at your fingertips.
Lower Floor Guest Suite: A bright white room with privacy and soft lighting. Queen-sized bed and en-suite bathroom.
Lower Bunk Suite: Little ones will get a good nights’ sleep in this room, with two sets of bunk beds that sleep four. And they’ll love looking through the generously sized window at the forest outside – and imagining that they’re part of a modern-day fairy tale. Full bathroom.
