Ultra-Luxury ExperienceA contemporary-styled flat in a Renaissance-era setting that offers its guests the perfect blend of old and new. There is taste and elegance in every detail that combines contemporary design and style, alongside the structure's original Renaissance features. Nestled in the heart of Florence it is located steps away from the Ponte Vecchio and lively streets dotted with shops, bars, restaurants, and artisan workshops.
Travelers visiting the birthplace of the Renaissance will feel Florence’s storied history thrum the walls of Piazza Pitti, where original ceiling frescoes and 17th-century columns adorn the living room, recalling the theatre that the building originally served as. Nestled in the heart of Florence, Piazza Pitti offers the chance to create memories of a lifetime in a starkly gorgeous, contemporary-styled flat in a Renaissance-era setting.
Located just steps away from the town plaza and the storied Ponte Vecchio, a medieval stone bridge crossing the River Arno where merchants sell their wares just as they did centuries ago, Piazza Pitti offers an unmatched location in the center of Florence. Several of the flat’s windows offer impressive views of the Palazzo Pitti, a sprawling palace that the Medicis called home during the Renaissance and which now houses a huge collection of important art (at night, look out the window to glimpse the sparkling lights of the palace). Nearby, you’ll also find Piazza della Signoria, the Bargello, Santa Croce, the Duomo, and the world-renowned Uffizi Gallery, richly endowed with some of the world’s best works of art. Walk everywhere on lively streets dotted with shops, bars, restaurants, and artisan workshops.
At a sprawling 2,000 square feet, the flat comfortably accommodates 8 guests in 4 double suites, with an additional 4 guests on 4 single sofa beds split between the master and living room. Large groups on holiday and families who prefer privacy will find it here. More importantly, live like an Italian and enjoy la dolce vita: laughter, conversation, shared meals and plenty of wine (included in the rental price!) The apartment’s crowning feature is its laboratorioculinario, which is an open space with a sprawling handcrafted table – sits up to 12 – where you’ll gather with friends or family in a stunning setting that also feels like home. We’ve even included our own personal trove of family recipes, so you can savor the enticing aromas of traditional Italian cuisine, glass of wine in hand, surrounded by the people you love. The modern, open kitchen – refurbished in 2015 – is as functional as it is beautiful, with cookware hanging from hooks and a generous stainless steel worktop.
From the living room’s cold and hot bars to a generously equipped chef’s kitchen, no detail has been spared. After a long day exploring the city, retreat to the infrared sauna room to wind down with a good novel. Maid service means you won’t have to worry about making the bed, and we’re also available to help you hire a private chef or personal driver for day trips or excursions to Tuscany’s renowned outlets. Modern comforts abound: elevator, WiFi, hairdryers, LCD TV, stereo system, washing machine and dryer, coffee maker and kettle plus cappuccino milk stirrer. Please enquire for further details; we look forward to helping you plan your visit to enjoy the rich history and culture of this incredible city.
