Tuscany Vacation: 3 Perfect Days

With Luxury Shoe Designer Sarah Flint and Lifestyle Blogger Stacie Flinner

We recently hosted luxury shoe designer, Sarah Flint, along with fashion and lifestyle blogger, Stacie Flinner, at our Tuscan Farmhouse for an extraordinary three-day Tuscany vacation, before they headed to other regions in Italy for artisan and business partner meetings. They arrived with spectacular outfits and (of course) the perfect Italian leather sandals and heels to match, as our cherished destination manager, Francesco Barone, took them on a myriad of adventures. From making homemade tortellini with a private chef to meeting the endearing hens that live at the Tuscan Farmhouse and finding a moment to capture some design inspiration from the wisteria surrounding the villa, this incredible three-day itinerary has us dreaming of an adventure just like theirs.

A Dream Tuscan Vacation

Even For a Luxury Shoe Designer and Fashion Blogger

Sarah Flint and Stacie Flinner live in a fantasy world of beauty for much of their days, and even they were blown away by every detail of Francesco’s hospitality, the culinary experiences, the curated itinerary, and stunning Medieval castle views from the infinity pool. Both Sarah Flint and Stacie Flinner shared their adoration for the experience on each of their blogs.

“I can safely say: this was one of the most gorgeous weekends I’ve had in a very long time.”

“I’ve been fortunate to experience some special places throughout my travels, but our three days in Tuscany were truly one of my top travel experiences of all time.”

– Stacie Flinner, luxury fashion & lifestyle blogger | Tuscan Farmhouse guest

Day 1: A Warm Welcome with a Private Chef Homemade Pasta Dinner

Sarah and Stacie arrived at our Tuscan Farmhouse and were immediately entranced by the front entrance, evocative of a wisteria wonderland. As with every Cuvée stay, they were welcomed with an array of freshly-prepared appetizers, made with local ingredients. The veggie shooters, toast tips, and smoked salmon paired perfectly with a glass of Cuvée Lorenzo Chianti, aged just outside they area they were staying. After settling in and exploring the vineyard views, they prepared for a thrilling evening of pasta making.

The evening began with pasta making lessons and progressed to a multi-course meal enjoyed at golden hour, where the warm light of the candles wrapped the room in a matching hue. As with any proper Tuscany vacation, an abundance of regional cuisine and a wine glass that is frequently refilled, is mandatory.

Day 2: Infinity Poolside Bliss and Wine Tasting at Il Cellese

Fun fact about the Tuscan Farmhouse: there is a full-sized chicken coop in the backyard that offers farm-fresh eggs every morning. This particular morning they were paired with bacon, brightly-colored berries, and pancakes. They even made a special “S” and “F” pancake for “Sarah Flint” and “Stacie Flinner” – how perfect that they have the same initials!

The late morning and afternoon was enjoyed poolside, embracing the moment to dive into some design work while surrounded by such beauty, and of course, lots of opportunities for picture-worthy snapshots.

Following a day of relaxation and sunshine, what is better than a winery tour? Sarah and Stacie had the opportunity to take a private tour of Il Cellese winery, a favorite of all our guests. Learning all about the fermentation process and touring the cellars with the owner, Sergio Sardelli, proved insightful and full of splendid sips. The kitchen at the winery was opened exclusively for our guests and they enjoyed a traditional Italian meal.

Day 3: A Tour of Vertine and A Wood Fired Oven Pizza Party

The final morning kicked off with hand-painted splendor. A visit to Nicoletta Penco’s ceramic studio for a private tour proved to be packed with inspiration and beauty. Capturing the craftswoman at work and shopping her stunning collection was a highlight of the morning.

That afternoon was spent exploring the charming town of Vertine, wandering through vine-wrapped arches and building up an appetite for an evening pizza party! Equipped with a wood fired oven, the Tuscan Farmhouse is the ideal place to celebrate with pizza while on a Tuscany vacation. Everyone selected their favorite toppings (sounds like the truffle pizza was a hit) and then watched their creations bubble and brown. A few *clinks* later and the three-day adventure came to a close, as Sarah and Stacie headed to their next destination.

What They Wore

Sarah Flint’s Looks

Outfit 1: The Mirjana slide in Gold Nappa is exactly the shoe you want to wear poolside: easy to slip on and off, and shimmers in the sun. I wore these with a one-shoulder swimsuit and striped cover-up from Summersalt, and added a Peter Beaton hat for an extra level of chic sun protection.

Outfit 2: For brunch outside, I laced up my Grear flat sandals and paired them with a polka-dot midi from Loup Charmant. I loved how the cream-and-saddle color palette picked up on the countryside setting.

Outfit 3: Two of my go-to pieces this summer: the Perfect Block Sandal 60 and an A-line sundress from Provence Poiriers. Both are so lightweight and airy, yet they still make me feel very put-together.

Stacie Flinner’s Looks

Outfit 1: Embroidered details pop on this one-piece swimsuit and sarong, designed by Agua Bendita. The Mirjana sandal by Sarah Flint and Peter Beaton straw hat deliver tasteful touches of sun protection and comfort.

Outfit 2: A private winery tour calls for an outfit that is chic yet can be worn with ease. Stacie paired this Silvia Tcherassi dress with the Sarah Flint Perfect Block Sandal in navy croc for a polished look.

Outfit 3: It’s summer and white has never been more in. This Heidi Wynne Linen dress pairs perfectly with these Sarah Flint Grear Sandals for an all white look, punctuated only by a striking pair of cat-eye sunnies from Prada.

Where They Stayed: Cuvée’s Tuscan Farmhouse

Sarah Flint and Stacie Flinner had the opportunity to experience la dolce vita with all five senses at our artfully restored 16th-century farmhouse estate. Tucked in the vineyards in the heart of Chianti Classico, Cuvée’s Tuscan farmhouse is the utmost of designer elegance. With breathtaking Tuscan views of rolling vineyards and a Medieval castle from the infinity pool, Sarah and Stacie embraced the pinnacle of Italian living on their Tuscany vacation.
