Set the Scene
The villa is a short walk to the village of Lenno on the slopes of Mount Tremezzina, home to the grand Villa del Balbianello. Perched on the point of the Dosso di Lavedo, a wooded promontory that forms a small peninsula along the coastline, the villa is famous for terraced gardens featuring flowers and trees the colors of the Italian flag—green, white and red—and made even more memorable as a movie setting in films like Casino Royale. A quick 45 minutes to Como across the lake by boat, 1.5 hours to Milan by car and 2 hours to the ski slopes of St. Moritz.
