For those who seek warmth, recreation, and white sands, Punta Mita tops the list of must-visits. This idyllic gated resort town located just 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta in the heart of the Mexican Riviera is known for its extraordinary golfing, water sports, and pristine beaches—not to mention its world-class dining experiences. Whether you lean more “sportsman” or “shopping for sport,” there’s something for you in and around this superb gated community.
Here at Cuvée, we’ve honed the art of the flawless vacation. Spend a week in Punta Mita, Cuvée-style, and we guarantee you’ll come away from your visit recharged and counting down the days until your next stay. We asked our talented Mexico team to paint us a picture of that week. The result? Perfection.
Day 1: From the Villa to the Beach
Arrive at Casa Cascada or Casa Afrique, Cuvée’s sprawling oasis’ on the Mexican Riviera. With their combination of superb ocean views and irresistible indoor/outdoor living, private terraces, and outdoor dining rooms—you’ll want to dive right into your vacation experience. Enjoy a welcome of chef-prepared bites and cocktails while our unpacking service takes care of your luggage. After that, it’s straight to the beach for your first taste of Punta Mita’s famous white sands and serene Pacific waters.
For the adventurous, there’s lots to do here. Choose from a range of activities including snorkeling, paddle boarding, scuba diving, and surfing. But there’s never any pressure to do anything but soak in the scenery and relax—it’s what you’re here for!
End the day with a gourmet chef-prepared dinner served in the outdoor dining room, where you can toast your first day of vacation while looking out at the ocean and spectacular sunsets.
Day 2: Mark Playing 19 Holes with a Sumptuous Spa Experience
The morning begins with a chef-prepared in-villa breakfast to ready you for the day ahead. Savor locally-sourced papaya, mango, and pineapple on a fresh fruit platter or opt for a heartier option: avocado toast topped with poached eggs and a sprinkle of chia seeds.
From there, it’s off to Punta Mita’s Nicklaus-designed Pacifico Golf Course for a full 19–yes, 19–hole round. Pacifico is home to the world-famous “tail of the whale,” which The Golden Bear, himself, describes as the best par 3 hole he ever designed. Located all by itself on a natural island, Pacifico’s final hole offers players unparalleled ocean and sunset views.
To satisfy the appetite you’ll inevitably have worked up at Pacifico, enjoy a laid-back beachfront lunch at Mita Mary Boat Bar & Bistro, a resort favorite serving up fresh seafood right on the shore.
Your final stop of the day is the resort’s 10,000 square foot Remède Spa, where you can choose from a host of facilities including massage, steam room, sauna, fitness center, cold plunge, and 9 private treatment rooms to help you get your bliss on.
Return to the villa for a golden hour cocktail party featuring light bites and creative cocktails that mirror the exuberant colors of the Punta Mita sunset.
Day 3: Soak Up Local Culture
After another delicious chef-prepared breakfast, it’s off to the Sierra Madre Mountains for a picturesque hike. Commune with friendly local wildlife like iguanas and tropical birds while you take in stunning views of the coastline on this family-friendly excursion.
Your next stop is a relaxed afternoon visit to the nearby town of Sayulita. Home to vibrant street art, lively surf culture, attractive shops selling handmade crafts and mementos, Sayulita offers a vibrant break from the everyday and a unique taste of local culture. Enjoy a delectable lunch at Xochi, home to the creative cuisine of Chef Carlos Lanten, whose irrepressible Mexican fusion creations have graced the tables of several 5-star hotels and restaurants.
The evening ends with a bang thanks to our signature Cuvée margarita and taco dinner. Our chef prepares an array of delicious tacos while you customize your margarita with your choice of mix-ins and garnishes.
Day 4: Adventures on the Water
Salute the sun with a rejuvenating yoga and breathing session led by a wellness expert. Once you’re balanced, it’s time for an in-villa breakfast before heading 15 minutes away to the famous Marietas Islands to follow in the footsteps of Jacques Cousteau. Formed thousands of years ago by volcanic activity, these biodiverse islands are prime nesting grounds for many species of seabirds, including the Blue Footed Booby, and are surrounded by a marine sanctuary that is home to numerous tropical fish, sea turtles, and giant manta rays.
Evening brings a spectacular sunset and, with it, a sunset sail on a private chartered yacht. Dolphins skip by the boat while you enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, keeping an eye out for whales breaching the surface of the water. When you return to the villa, a gourmet surf-and-turf dinner awaits.
Day 5: So Long, But Not Goodbye
The bags are lined up and your tickets are in-hand. It’s time to bid farewell to our oasis in Punta Mita, taking priceless memories with you. But, a perfect vacation always leaves you both satisfied and wishing for more—and there’s lots more on offer thanks to Cuvée’s numerous properties in Mexico and stateside. We’ll welcome you back with open arms the next time you’re in search of an idyllic escape.
