When Hurricane Irma swept through St. Barts last September, it wasn’t a pretty sight. The strongest Atlantic storm on record left Cuvée’s beloved Vue de Rêves, one of the island’s most exquisite homes, in need of significant repair.
But after months of redesign and rebuilding with our Parisian designer, and sending our in-house construction team to the island, we’re thrilled to announce Vue de Rêves is back, and even more beautiful than before.
Below, five details that make Vue de Rêves one of the island’s most incredible homes.
Vue de Rêves means View of Dreams, and for good reason. It’s the kind of entrance that makes your jaw drop — and it’s the views that have attracted guests like the Kennedy’s for decades.
The estate looks over St. Jean and the iconic Eden Rock resort in an endless turquoise panoramic.
We looked to our French designer to help custom make a La Cornue Kitchen in Bordeaux, France. The inside chef’s kitchen opens fully to the outdoors’ breathtaking fire-and-water setting.
Outside, a pizza oven, Evo grill, and outdoor wine cave and bar make for the best pool parties, ever.
In the upper terrace, the estate now has a new fitness center. Complete with weights, cardio equipment, yoga (and views!), you’ll have no trouble earning your rosé!
A stunning feature of the kitchen, the wine cave feels as though you’ve stumbled upon a modern art gallery.
The coolest part? The cave’s natural stone allows tropical rain to cascade down its stone walls.
To create a completely unique effect, we imported the pool’s stone from Portugal. The stone was hand-cut to pick up the different colors of the Caribbean as the sun moves through the sky.
The result is a shimmering, turquoise pool on the edge of the iconic Baie de St. Jean.
